We understand that quality ICT and multimedia resources have a positive impact on learning and teaching therefore we work with the best interactive content suppliers, whose services are used by schools across the education sector. Rich content is provided by many others including leading software providers, publishers and cultural resource providers. In addition we provide open access to high quality free content and resources.

ContentStream provides seamless discovery and delivery of content from top content providers across the UK, many of which are COL (Curriculum Online) approved. Commercial Content Providers

  • Future School offers a dynamic, comprehensive, online system of video-streamed lessons in mathematic and English grammar to cover all Key Stages of the UK curriculum, PLUS ‘Intensive English’, a superb program of almost 2000 interactive lesson elements for EAL and ESOL students:

  • Channel 4 Learning - 4Learning is Channel 4's educational division, producing innovative and thought-provoking multimedia services for schools and learners of all ages. More than 400 hours of programming broadcast on Channel 4 each year are enhanced by a range of online, print, video, and digital learning resources. www.channel4.com/learning is a major online resource for teachers and learners of all ages at school and at home. It provides a comprehensive range of educational material based on the UK national curricula.
  • Education City - EducationCity has been developing its online resource since 1999. EducationCity is also the largest available suite of online educational games for re-inforcing KS1, KS2 and KS3 transition material. Each game is referenced to online directories of the National Numeracy and Literacy Strategies for Years 1 - 7 - and the QCA schemes of work for Science and MFL.EducationCity was one of the first companies to be Curriculum Online registered and enjoys numerous commercial and research relationships with a range of educational organisations from LEAs and Beacon schools to EAZs and Study Support Centres. EducationCity has a growing reputation following countywide bulk purchase agreements with LEAs like Lincoln during 2003.
  • The Big Bus - The Big Bus provides the very best in engaging, interactive and multi-active learning activities and is designed for use in the classroom and at home, for children ages 3 to 11 years. Great care is taken to ensure the content and range of activities support the school curriculum and enhance children's learning.
  • Spark Island - Spark Island Online is a unique collection of interactive learning activities designed to help children understand, practise and consolidate key learning points in maths, English and science across the primary age range.

  • Learn Premium (Guardian) - Learnpremium, backed by the Guardian, is the complete e-learning answer to the challenge of using digital content in the classroom. A subscription gives you access to thousands of pages of material covering the key curriculum areas, all of which have been written by practising teachers.
  • Pearson Education - Actis - Pearson Education, the world's leading education company has strengthened its range of digital curriculum resources through the acquisition of Actis, the award winning provider of online curriculum services. Actis provides a range of online subject-based services, each with its own education-specialist editor, focusing on the major curriculum subjects and designed to meet the needs of secondary school teachers; and Primary covering the primary curriculum. Actis has online content for the following subjects: English, Maths, Science, History and Geography. All the Actis Online Services been officially approved for purchase with your e-Learning Credits.
  • Heinemann Explore - Harcourt Education the UK's largest publisher for schools, is now establishing a strong position in the electronic content market with blended products supporting Literacy and Numeracy programmes used in Primary schools and a wide range of resources for Secondary schools. Heading up the association with Content Stream is the Heinemann Explore range of content modules and Heinemann World book Online - the leading educational encyclopaedia for schools.
  • Childrens Money World - Formed in January 2000, Childrens Moneyworld has gone from strength to strength and now has over 13,500 registered users with 4.8 million hits to date. Used in over 73 countries, our content continues to be educationally rich, varied and suitable for use at home and in school. Now in our third year, we're moving forward after releasing three new websites, each concentrating on Numeracy, Money and Personal Finance education for our youngsters.
